A Video Graphics Array (VGA) connector is a three-row 15-pin DE-15 connector. The 15-pin VGA connector had been provided on many video cards, computer monitors, laptop computers, projectors, and high definition television sets. On laptop computers or other small devices, a mini-VGA port had sometimes been used in place of the full-sized VGA connector.
Component Video is a 3 cable Coax system RGB which can be converted using a VGA to component dongle. Component can carry 1080P video in an analogue format and is rarely used now. Many devices still include VGA connectors, although VGA generally coexisted with DVI as well as the newer and more compact HDMI and DisplayPort interface connectors.
VGA is commonly requested as in older style laptops and computers, it is one of the most commonly used outputs. As a result, we supply a range of encoders to be able to encode & decode this type of connection. We suggest using active VGA to HDMI converters which are cheap, effective and allow the use of an HDMI encoder.
